Paula_Orr

Paula is a Principal Consultant at CEP and has been involved in research, engagement and capacity building in relation to sustainability in the UK and Chile since 1992. She leads CEP's work in participation and consultation and climate change adaptation and is an experienced facilitator. Paula came to CEP from the Environment Agency for England and Wales where she was an advisor on social policy and social science, and amongst other roles co-ordinated the Environment Agency's strategy for engagement on the Water Framework Directive and supported each River Basin District on engagement and consultation. Prior to the Environment Agency, Paula lived and worked in Chile and was a founder member and Director of the Chilean environmental NGO Ecologia y Desarrollo. At CEP she has been involved in projects on social vulnerability and flooding, community impacts of coastal erosion, barriers to climate change adaptation and the promotion and evaluation of behaviour change initiatives. She is currently developing and managing a stakeholder engagement process for the UK Climate Change Risk Assessment.
