Social impact assessment
CEP specialisms include social impact assessment (SIA) and appraisal, and the development of approaches
to the assessment of the intended and unintended social consequences, both positive and negative, of planned
interventions (including policies, programmes, plans and projects) using qualitative and quantitative research
methods. We have experience of undertaking SIAs of both infrastructure projects and regional development in
the UK and within mainland Europe, as well as provided a quality assurance role for SIAs.
