• developing smart environmental and sustainability indicators
• identifying appropriate baseline data
• compiling state of the environment reports at a regional, national and European level
• devising monitoring programmes and auditing appraisal procedures.

CEP has a long track record of commissions for the European Environment Agency (EEA), including work to support state of the environment reporting and development of indicators. Most recently this has included support for the development of the EEA's European State of the Environment and Outlook 2010. CEP is currently part of the consortium providing the EEA's integrated environmental assessment framework contract (2009-2014). Our projects for the EEA have included both pan-European studies and country specific case studies.
