CEP has particular expertise in the requirements of the Water Framework Directive, as well as its implementation within EU Member States. We have, for example, developed approaches to stakeholder engagement during the preparation of River Basin Management Plans (RBMPs) and the Strategic Environmental Assessment (SEA) of RBMPs. Our water management work has included commissions for the Environment Agency for England and Wales, European Environment Agency (EEA) and the Department of Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (Defra), water companies and other national and local authorities.
