Eoghan is an
environmental consultant with a BSc. (Hons.) in botany. He recently
completed an MSc. in Environmental Technology (specialisation
environmental economics). His MSc. dissertation looked at an
investment fund, which invests on a regional basis across the UK with a
sustainable development remit and offers returns across the environment,
society and the economy. The project investigated a method to account
for the non-financial returns associated with the fund, and involved a
literature review, stakeholder consultation and validation of the method
arrived upon.
Eoghan joined
CEP in October 2007 and is working on projects relating to
Sustainability Appraisal, Strategic Environmental Assessment and ex-post
evaluation, including a Sustainability Appraisal of the GLA’s
Climate Change Adaptation Strategy, a Strategic Environmental Assessment
Pathfinder Research Project for the Scottish Executive and a project for
the European Environment Agency (EEA) on the Environmental Implications
of European Regional Policy.
During his Masters, Eoghan
worked rating company’s environmental performance for inclusion in
ethical investment funds. Other work experience includes teaching in
India and in business development for a health sector service provider.
