Eoghan Daly

Eoghan is an environmental consultant with a BSc. (Hons.) in botany.  He recently completed an MSc. in Environmental Technology (specialisation environmental economics). His MSc. dissertation looked at an investment fund, which invests on a regional basis across the UK with a sustainable development remit and offers returns across the environment, society and the economy.  The project investigated a method to account for the non-financial returns associated with the fund, and involved a literature review, stakeholder consultation and validation of the method arrived upon.

Eoghan joined CEP in October 2007 and is working on projects relating to Sustainability Appraisal, Strategic Environmental Assessment and ex-post evaluation, including a Sustainability Appraisal of the GLA’s Climate Change Adaptation Strategy, a Strategic Environmental Assessment Pathfinder Research Project for the Scottish Executive and a project for the European Environment Agency (EEA) on the Environmental Implications of European Regional Policy.

During his Masters, Eoghan worked rating company’s environmental performance for inclusion in ethical investment funds.  Other work experience includes teaching in India and in business development for a health sector service provider.
